the sailboat
2022 toulonL’Aventure is a 6.10-meter sailboat that Jeanne acquired for a symbolic €1. She decided to turn it into a project that would serve as a pretext for creation. Immersing herself in the world of sailing, she drew parallels with the world of textiles. She took an artistic look at the functional elements of this sailboat. She contacted professionals in the field to renovate it, from the most technical equipment to the most decorative accessories. The boat’s design is intended to take visitors and travelers on a Mediterranean voyage. Launched in 2022 in Toulon, this traveling artistic platform welcomes its first residents for a unique experience. For the first excursion of the sailboat L’Aventure, a traveling artistic platform, Jeanne invited the Crafties, Camille Audibert, and Lucas Zambon to take over its shapes and the territory of the Thau basin. During a narrative crossing from Sète to Bouzigues, Camille Audibert performs in the costumes of the winegrower and the oyster farmer imagined by the Crafties, captured in the form of a docu-fiction by Lucas Zambon.
It is decorated with a whimsical landscape inspired by a Toulon tapestry by Henri Pertus. For the Design Parade Toulon 2022 exhibition, this tent will host Lucas Zambon’s film tracing the first epic journey of the sailboat L’Aventure, renovated by the Crafties and performed by Camille Audibert.
