Curator Anne-Laure Lestage has conceived “House of Dreamers,” a poetic stroll through the spaces of Villa Empain, an Art Deco residence in Brussels now managed by the Boghossian Foundation. Moving from room to room, the assembled artworks explore both the architectural qualities of the spaces and their uses. This exhibition raises the question of artists’ relationship to domestic space, invoking the notion of the decorative in modern and contemporary art. For this occasion, les Crafties has created a panoramic curtain depicting a game without rules, a surreal playing field somewhere between ball games and rackets.
